We have had a large volume of calls and emails from customers who use TalkTalk for their Domain Hosting, reporting that their email isn’t working – specifically that they are not receiving email.
We have raised with TalkTalk who have admitted they have made a mistake in changing the settings for a number of Domains that they host.
We have no timescale from them at present regarding when this is likely to be resolved – but customers can chase them directly by emailing domainadmin@talktalkbusiness.co.uk
If/when we have any updates we will post here.
Update Monday 14th – 5:25pm: To the best of our knowledge all domains linked to mailboxes we host have now been fixed by TalkTalk Business. If your email is hosted by us, and yours is still broken, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll raise with TalkTalk on your behalf. Please note that once fixed there may be a delay whilst the changes fully propagate and your inbound email returns to normal.
On a related note: following a very large number of requests we can now host your Domain here, along with your email, which will prevent issues like this occurring again in the future. If you would like information on how to go about this please email us at support@verygoodemail.com

Thank you for your service alert. I wondered why I wasn’t receiving emails or being able to send them. My domain must be one of many that have been affected. I’ve contacted TalkTalk using my gmail address using the link provided but haven’t had a response yet.

Yes, Iain it was sorted on Saturday. Got an email from them saying my domain server had been updated.
I am also affected, since this afternoon, April 11th. Very much interested in moving domain hosting to you.

I’m still without email since last Wednesday evening. Does anyone know if they are any closer to a resolution? I’ve a tkt raised with their customer services but almost pointless as they haven’t giving me much information at all
Hi Paul, I’m afraid the only update from our side is the info I posted to this Service Alert earlier today. A large number of Domains have been fixed – and we hope that any that are still broken will be fixed by TalkTalk in the very near future.

Hi Paul – I’ve just updated this Service Alert – your Domain should now be fixed. I’m afraid we can’t provide web hosting – but any Domain we host can be linked to webspace with other providers.

I have started recieving emails again this morning. However I have a gap of the 11 – 13th April
Hi Simon, I’m afraid we cannot do anything about missing emails – as the Mail Records for your domain where either pointing to the wrong place, or non-existent, any emails sent won’t have reached our network.
I mailed them on saturday and started receiving mail yesterday.
That’s good to hear – we’ve been applying all the pressure we can since last Wednesday – but it can only help when customers contact them directly!
One of my domains was involved in this issue but has now been fixed. However, a second domain that was not impacted by the original problem has not received any emails since 19:30 yesterday (Wednesday) even though Outlook says there are 39 waiting to be received.
Is this still part of the original issue or something new?
