GMail, along with a number of other email platforms, are insisting on stronger email credentials: setting an SPF Record for your domain is an absolute essential now, but DKIM and DMARC are becoming increasingly relevant.
We have now launched support for DKIM – details here.
First – I am an old Nildram customer – a Nildram BBS customer!! I’m so glad and relieved to be back in safe hands. 30 years has just fallen off me. I haven’t felt this good for months.
Yes, we are having grief with DKIM and essential messages to gmail accounts are bouncing – we are losing business from this. Nobody at TalkTalk wants to sort this out (or talktalk with us even…) – we need help!
We run a simple mail poll every day (POP/SMTP) and we have a neat little setup on Thunderbird to sort the email out between us. How do we tweak this so that we can finally send email to Google accounts?
I know he is a busy man, but please forward our deepest and fondest regards to Ade Mardlin. I have many, many happy memories of the early days and being with him as his company took off. From the BBS days both George Riddell and I are still around, we lost Dave Joberns to Parkinsons sadly.
This has been a good day. A Very Good day.

It’s actually been rather nice from this side talking to old Nildram people again – I joined Adrian at Nildram in 1997 – very happy memories of my time there and working with everyone.
I’m sure we can get things sorted – but can I ask you to send us an email on this to support@verygoodemail.com – and we can pick up the conversation there.
