Popular fax-to-email service faxtastic! has recently added a range of geographic numbers to its service.
Faxtastic! provides users with a unique fax number that takes any received fax and converts it into an email attachment, with no additional software required. Users can choose from a free 0871 number, an 0844 number, or a newly introduced range of UK geographic numbers.
To receive faxes, users get their own unique fax number. Any faxes sent to that number are converted into TIFF Image format and sent to a chosen email address (or addresses).
All users need to send a fax is an email account -and they can send to any fax machine in the world. It’s a simple matter of writing an email as normal, optionally attaching PDFs, Word documents or TIFF files, and sending the email to a specific email address.
That’s it. Users can send and receive faxes with nothing more than an email account.
Faxtastic!’s free 0871 package is just that; free from charges for receiving inbound faxes – all faxtastic! ask is that it is used on a regular basis. One fax must be received in the first seven days, then one every 90 days thereafter. As long as end users keep to this requirement the number stays theirs for free. Outbound faxes cost from 5p per page; credits are purchased in blocks and never expire.
Other services include an 0871 ‘budget’ option, as well as 0844 and the new geographic numbers – ideal for small to medium enterprises.
All pricing is transparent – with no hidden charges or caps on the number of pages that can be sent, or received – unlike some other providers.
Adrian Mardlin, MD of faxtastic! parent company APM Internet, commented “Geographic numbers were the next logical step in the development of our fax solutions – these are proving to be extremely popular and more numbers will be added on a regular basis.” He goes on to say “We are seeing an increase in interest from users of other fax services who’ve been put off by the introduction of service limitations and charges – our ethos is one of simplicity and transparency.”
