I’ve had my subscription renewal reminder and my credit card details have changed. What do I need to do?
Assuming you set up a Continuous Authority, you can either wait and see if it works (if your card was simply replaced with a new one, it’s likely your bank have updated the details for you). If it fails, you’ll know because we’ll start to send you reminders about paying your invoice.
Alternatively, your reminder email will contain a link to set up a new Continuous Authority. If you do this, the existing one will automatically be cancelled.
Finally, you can view all your billing information, cancel and set up new Continuous Authorities via your webmail at https://mail.verygoodemail.com – just click on ‘Account’ at the top right, then ‘Billing Details’
Do I get a discount for paying Annually?
Most of our services are available on monthly or annual subscriptions. If you have 5 mailboxes or more, we normally offer 12 months for the price of 10 if you pay annually in advance. The same goes for web hosting (no minimum quantity). Domain names are only available on an annual basis.
How much is my annual bill?
In order to view all your billing information, first login to our webmail at https://mail.verygoodemail.com using your email address as login and usual password. Once logged in, click on Account at the top right and then ‘Billing Details’.
I’m trying to pay, but the system has the wrong phone number. How do I fix this?
You may be referring to the ‘Link’ system within Stripe, our payment provider. This means that you paid with someone in the past using that phone number, and is a quick method to pay again using the same card details. To avoid using this system, simply click on ‘Pay without Link’ and Stripe will allow you to enter new card details.
I setup a continuous authority on Stripe, and you sent me an invoice, but I haven’t seen the payment leave my account yet, is everything ok?
Here’s how our billing process works. 14 days before we issue an invoice, we send you an email with details of what we will be invoicing for. Once we have issued the invoice, we don’t take payment immediately, but wait 7 days until we request payment from Stripe. If you are paying by credit card, it’s at this point you will see the transaction appear on your account. If you are paying by Direct Debit, then it will take a few working days to progress.
If your payment fails for any reason, we will notify you of this and invite you to set up a new continuous authority or Direct Debit with Stripe, or pay the invoice directly.
