Gateway – now with added business continuity
As well as being a robust spam and virus filtering service we’ve seen a rise in interest in using Gateway as a business continuity tool.
If your in-house mail server or Internet connection goes down, Gateway simply queues any inbound email until everything is operational again. With the added benefit of a webmail interface Gateway enables you to view your incoming messages and reply, or forward, as needed. In addition the service provides a Fail Over IP facility should it be needed.
- For in-house mail servers such as Exchange
- View incoming mail in webmail
- Reply to, or forward messages
- Fail Over IP facility
Our basic POP3/IMAP webmail solution, now with 25GB of storage. Combined with the recently upgraded webmail interface and the provision of the Spam Digest feature (a handy daily report listing everything we’ve put in your spam folder), MailCore can provide the ideal platform for customers looking for a solid IMAP, or POP3 email hosting platform.
- 25GB storage
- Upgraded webmail
- Spam digest
MessageBunker now supports Microsoft Exchange using journaling – works with Exchange 2003/2007/2010 and Small Business Server 2003/2008.

MessageBunker for Outlook
Outlook users can now get to a MessageBunker search page with one click – take a look at the video.
This interface can be used with Outlook’s ‘Web Folder’ facility.
- Create a new folder for Mail Items in your Inbox (location not important)
- Call it ‘MessageBunker’
- Select ‘Home Page’
- Enter the above URL
- Select ‘Authentication’ (GUIs vary version-to-version)
- Enter your MB username and password
MessageBunker for Mobile
MessageBunker for Mobile enables users of iPhones and Android phones to access their MessageBunker stores in a suitable iOS-style interface. You can quickly search your stores, view messages and forward them back to your accounts, or anyone else’s.
Best of all, it supports Apple’s Web App guidelines, so can be added to the iOS Home Screen, where it will act just like a regular iPhone app. Login details are held locally, so the user doesn’t even have to remember their password.
The URL is: https://www.messagebunker.com/m/
This is a special layout suited to iOS and Android devices. It is all Apple Web App compatible, so it can be added to the home screen and used as an app.
- Open Safari
- Go to the above URL
- Click the ‘Share’ icon
- Click ‘Add To Home Screen’
A proper iOS icon will be created and login details stored locally (note: not using cookies) so logins are automatic from that point on.
The User Interface is very iPhone-centric and allows the ability to quickly search your MessageBunker store, view messages and forward messages back to your email account.
Due to popular demand, we’ve finally cracked the problem of how to do whitelisting and blacklisting based on the ‘From:’ address in the email header, as well as the envelope ‘From:’ address.
From this point onwards, we look at both addresses for both whitelisting and blacklisting, which should be particularly useful for Outlook users (as Outlook removes the envelope information from the headers). For more info contact us.
