Zimbra – now with 25GB of storage

We’re delighted to announce that, with effect from January 1st, the storage quota included with each mailbox will go up from 1GB to 25GB as standard. In addition the Push to Mobile feature is now free (was £1.99 per mailbox).

New Year’s Resolution – are you backed up?

There’s been an odd few times when I’ve been asked for an ‘IT’ related New Year’s Resolution. I’m not sure what this says more about; me or the people asking, but there it is. The answer is always the same as it will be here. If you do anything ‘new’ in 2012 to look after your computers just make sure they’re backed up. Just for fun (yes, I said fun) let us expand this concept a little further and see what we can do to improve things.

First of all, you do back up don’t you? Yes, yes, of course, silly of me to ask and I definitely didn’t see you cross your fingers behind your back just now. Actually, given the people I’m writing this for, our beloved partners, I actually do expect you are backing up everything important and don’t need some so-and-so like me lecturing you on the most basic law of IT management. MessageBunker

With many customers already using MessageBunker in conjunction with their email accounts we thought we’d give you a reminder of what’s new and improved in MessageBunker 2.0:

Microsoft Exchange: Using journaling, MessageBunker no longer needs access to your Exchange server. You can now push mail out to MessageBunker and it will be correctly filed. Note zero-configuration as MessageBunker can automatically create new mailboxes. Works with Exchange 2003/2007/2010 and Small Business Server 2003/2008.

Microsoft Outlook: As part of MessageBunker 2.0, MessageBunker provides a quick and intuitive interface to access MessageBunker stores directly within the Outlook interface. Intended for use by those using Outlook with Exchange in a journaling setup but compatible with all common browsers and can be used with any type of MessageBunker inbox.

Enhanced Search Tools: MessageBunker 2.0 features enhanced search facilities, including the ability to search just To, From or Subject, and the facility to forward messages to others from the webmail interface.

MessageBunker Website: With the release of MessageBunker 2.0 we’ve taken the opportunity to re-purpose the messagebunker.com website so that it has become purely a control panel/access point for users. The Partner Listings and request information forms are still there, but we’ve removed all of the extraneous marketing material and re-homed it on The Very Good Email Company website.
